Gift Cards Worthless?
Do you have any unredeemed gift cards in your wallet or purse? If so you should get them out and check to see if the company that issued them is still in business. It they are you might want to redeem the card as soon as possible. The reason for this warning is that the company Sharper Image just went into chapter 11 bankruptcy and won't be redeeming any of their gift cards. There is a small chance that they will come out of chapter 11 and redeem them but I wouldn't bet on it. Sharper Image is not the first company to hang gift card holders out to dry and with the economy in the shape it's in I can almost guarantee they won't be the last. Be warned spend them or take a chance on losing out. |
